Portfolio HR is currently working with a retail business, we are looking for a strong Head of HR to join this fantastic organisation based in Northampton.

This is to head of up the entire HR function with a team of advisors and administrators under you.

Role Responsibilities

* Responsible for the development and sustainment of all Employee Relation policies, processes and updating information on handbook in correspondent with employment law.
* Working alongside the senior leaders with the development of organisational design to support and enable the delivery of key business objectives.
* Take ownership of the development of the reward strategies for the business. All areas including the development and launch of pay bandings, benchmarking information, competitive benefit packages and the annual pay review recommendation and processes
* Working closely with the senior team to ensure that Human Resources are an integral part of the broader people strategy. Leads the development, launch and sustainment of appropriate employee relations policies and practices to effectively balance the needs of the business and employee welfare.
* Support the development, launch and sustainment of effective performance management processes across the business, to drive aspirational performance across the business.
* Supports the development of a recognition strategy across the business to reinforce behaviours that support key strategic objectives and the values of the business.
* Utilise employment data to identify trends, issues and recommendations to the CEO and Leadership Team to maximise productivity, engagement and reduce cost.


* CIPD Qualified/ Equivalent
* Minimum 4-5 years human resource experience at a managerial capacity
* FMCG experience (desirable not essential)
* Strong employee relations experience
* People and team manager experience needed.
