I am working alongside a large retail business in the Stockport area practice who are looking to add a Payroll Administrator to their established team. They are going through a period of growth and various projects and are looking for an experienced candidate to support this and progress in the organisation. The role title may change based on the level of when you join the business.Key Duties/Tasks:* Getting involved with project work at the business* Processing payroll end to end for a high-volume amount of clients on the payroll* Completing manual calculations of statutory payments* Reconciling pensions and solving payroll related queries* Liaising with managers and team members with payroll enquires and reporting* Processing P11 D using external softwareBenefits* Salary up to £30,000 * Pension* Flexitime working* Up to 29 days holidays with option to buy* Hybrid working* DiscountsNormal working hours are 39 hours per week. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day payroll processing activity ensuring all submissions from clients are transacted on time, and error-free, against the agreed processing timetable. Key Duties/Tasks: * Deliver accurate and timely payroll processing, ensuring gross to net calculations are administered through our client's software solution in a timely fashion. * Have a solid understanding of end-to-end payroll processing and follow the Payroll Processing Checklist to ensure all activities are carried out and completed in a timely fashion. * Knowledge of Auto enrolment rules and principles ensuring accurate and timely pensions administration for clients on a periodic basis. * Demonstrable working knowledge of the latest rules and calculations in regard to, statutory payments. * An ability to translate payroll processing activity from gross to net pay, and answer queries on net pay impacting changes, with confidence. * Ensure all your transactions are appropriately peer checked for accuracy accepting all training needs and developmental feedback as necessary.
