We are pleased to be partnered with a leading Transportation provider who due to continued growth and success are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Payroll Assistant to join their busy payroll team.Reporting into the Payroll Manager and working within a medium sized team, this role will be responsible for processing and management of the firm's payroll - ensuring accuracy against high-volume of employee's pay.Permanent vacancy - offering 1-2 days working from home after probation. 37.5hrs per week. Responsibilities include: * Liaising with pay clerks at different sites over internal weekly pay queries and resolving any external pay queries. * Preparation of weekly payroll for processing by payroll provider along with data/emails to send across. * Checking and adjusting weekly payroll to ensure all staff are paid in an accurately and timely manner. * Prepare BAC's requests and arrange recovery where applicable. * Drafting and typing correspondence to internal and external parties, including requests from governmental bodies in relation to employee's pay. * Adhere to and promote the Company's health and safety policies and procedures. * Undertake any other reasonable task or projects assigned by your manager. Experience required: * 1-3 years of Payroll Experience. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Comfortable in a busy, fast-paced environment. Payroll Officer Portfolio Payroll have the pleasure of working alongside a well-established and excellent education client for a Payroll Officer , who has good experience end to end payroll experience .
