We are partnering with a blue-chip client who are looking to bolster their current procurement department and require a Category Manager within security services. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end sourcing activities within the security services whilst supporting the Head of Procurement in high-risk/value opportunities. Day to day responsibilities will include; * Identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and contracting with new suppliers. * Regular benchmarking of current inputs, services, and suppliers to ensure our supply chain is delivering maximum value and innovation. * Lead initiatives including rationalisation to increase spend compliance and concentration with preferred suppliers, delivering improved efficiencies and driving category maturity. * Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that quality, service, and client requirements are considered and applied when negotiating commercial value. * Responsibility for all Security & Temporary Labour related spending. * Supporting transformation within the Procurement team and implementing change management throughout the organisation. I am working with a Local Government Authority who are looking for an experienced commercial procurement professional with a background in multiple categories particularly within estates and parking renewal contracts. The chosen candidate will be responsible for all generalist categories and have managed the full cycle projects whilst providing support in developing and promoting an innovative approach to procurement and market analysis. Day to day responsibilities will include: * Lead and manage a category management approach to deliver value for money across indirect categories of spend. * Lead and manage the development of category plans including conducting market research/appraisal exercises in order to identify value for money option. * Ensures that procurement issues are managed effectively throughout the procurement cycle. * Lead and manage a range of sourcing projects in support of the category plan. * Provide category specific strategic insight to enable stakeholders to make informed choices about the way in which expenditure is deployed, optimising value and minimising contractual and commercial risk. * Identify, develop and prepare reports and present to the appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
