Our client is one of the leading employers in the area specialising in hosting events and are looking for a standalone HR Manager to transform the business culture and will be responsible for the client’s four core responsibilities: values ,talent, performance management and compliance. This role is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced and obsessed leader.

Key Responsibilities:

* Review and manage HR policies, processes and procedures ensuring that they are aligned with the business, employment legislation and relevant.
* Ensure that policies are distributed and readily accessible to relevant parties
* Work with stakeholders to develop a set of company values and play a leading role within senior leadership team helping to develop and promote the company’s vision, strategy and values
* Provide first line support to employees, helping to resolve queries, requests, grievances and support with personal difficulties
* Manage the employee lifecycle end to end including recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, development, exits, with a focus on providing the best possible employee experience
* Develop a talent acquisition strategy which positions the company as an sources the best candidates for vacant roles and enables the company to fill them to efficiently
* Ensure managers are undertaking effective regular probationary reviews with new team members
* Create, implement and manage an in-depth onboarding programme for new starters to increase retention and success at the company as well as adapting to cultural values
* Assess the learning needs of team members within the business and source, create or provide training and development plans for them
* Support manager development through sourcing and undertaking training to improve leadership skills, output, performance and team’s abilities to achieve KPIs
* Develop a portal for managers to create courses about the business, its sector and roles for team members to complete aimed at improve onboarding and retention
* Be the driving force behind the business’s need to improve performance management ensuring that all departments and employees have a clear set of objectives to work towards
* Support managers with their team structures, relationships, and performance management
* Support managers in making sure they are undertaking regular evaluations with their team members and providing useful feedback
* Evaluate and improve employee engagement.
* Provide updates to employees on company news e.g. new hires, office closures, policy changes etc.
* Managing and updating our payroll processes, ensuring all casual pay data is entered, relevant changes are captured and amended where required
* Manage the company pension scheme.
* Create an extensive and competitive benefits package for our employees that are valued and utilised by our teams
* Ensure all employee records and documentation are up to date through our people management system
* Maintain an accurate absence and holiday management record
* Manage exits and dismissals in professionally with exit interviews and providing a level of care and support afterwards
* Ensure that all employees are in a workplace that is health and safety compliant as well as promoting good wellbeing and mental health
* Engage with teams about how employees can promote and achieve the company’s CSR and ESG objectives

Skills and Experience Specification:

* Proven experience in creating and successfully implementing a HR strategy
* Proven experience in managing projects end-to-end
* Excellent communication skills

* Highly organised and good time management
* Effective problem solver and decision-maker
* Effective leader with good delegation skills
* Excellent knowledge of employment law
* Knowledge of HR trends and upcoming legislation
* Practical working knowledge and effective use of Microsoft programmes
