Our Client is a commercial focussed consultancy business, and are now recruiting a fantastic opportunity to join their in house legal team. The true potential of this role is General counsel and the successful candidate will work toward this over a two year period, being the absolute legal right hand to the CEO and the Board along with teh senior management team. Based in their modern city centre offices, they are looking for a qualified and experienced Barrister/ Solicitor with general commercial litigation and employment law experience that has the drive and the potential to step into a legal counsel with a desire to attain General Counsel status.
Working within a fast paced team and covering a wide range of legal matters this is a fantastic opportunity to work for a growing commercial international business.
We are looking for experienced commercial legal professional who can instantly bring knowledge and become a trusted advisor to the group of Directors on commercial litigation matters and advise on potential Mergers and Acquisitions.
Supporting the wider business in terms of internal Employment Tribunal case and advising Senior managers on Internal HR and employment law matters – conducting internal hearings, including any arising investigations.
This is a Fantastic opportunity to enhance your career pathway to a General Council role, General Council experience is not necessary as this is a role in which you will be supported and developed into this position
Responsibilities
Advise Group Directors on all commercial litigation matters, overseeing any dispute resolution
Dealing with any contentious and non-contentious legal matters
Establishing a firm commercial approach toward the Groups intellectual property and associated reputational issues
The person
Experienced and qualified Barrister with commercial litigation and employment law experience
Able to work in a fast paced changing commercial business
Experience of working within an in house Legal function or within a leading law firm
